About NekoKitty
The Birth of NekoKitty
As some of you know, I play a lot of mobile games. I have a lot of accounts on different platforms. My main game that I had been playing for the last three years through my mobile is Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest. It was the first game that I really put some thought into my user name, because up to that point, I never played games that interacted with other people.
But, this was different. I wanted a name that would reflect a bit of my personality, even though the game is "Warhammer" and normally, people would choose a name that reflected some aspect of the game.
I, however, wanted to have a name that I could use in a variety of games, not just a war game; hence, "NekoKitty".
Since I have an online shop, I wanted a name that could be used for my shop as well, so, when NekoKitty was created, my shop was affected as well and was changed to "NekoKitty Designs" which you can find on the Etsy marketplace.
Since I had been playing Warhammer for a while, my products started to reflect my interest in the game which led me to design my very first logo.
Story Behind My Logo
My logo looks pretty intense when you first view it. It looks "gothic" and maybe a bit scary. However, as with everything else, I put a LOT of thought into what I wanted my logo to look like and why.
Of course, the first thing you would notice is the broken circle with the spears, one being more prominent than the others. The reason I chose it was because in life there are many choices - directions - to take. Many paths to follow. But only one choice can be made, only one path can be chosen whether it is the correct choice or not. When I look at that circle with it's many choices, it reminds me to keep my focus on the one path I have chosen to take. My personal journey is not one that I share with others, it will always be walked alone through the choices I make every day. Nobody else can walk my path due to their own individual choices.
The next thing you notice is the "not so sweet and innocent" cat face. You notice it looks a bit scary and scarred. I don't like to be fake and show a "my life is perfect" picture when that is not my reality. My life is scarred with some of the choices I've made, or simply through the family environment that I grew up in, but, I wear those scars like a badge, because without them, I would not be the person God intended for me to be today. I am a stronger person because of the trials God allowed me to endure.
And of course, I love cats. Cats are, to me, unlike any other creature. They are bold and feisty. Is it any wonder that the lion, a feline, is king of the jungle?
Color Theme
It was not until recently that I came across a blogger who suggested having a main color theme flow through every aspect of their online persona. From email newsletters to website banners, keep the color theme the same in everything to create your brand.
That was a bit tougher for me since I tend to have only one favorite color: black. Black goes with everything and does not clash with anything. I do love green as well, however, it would not tie in well with my logo, so the next color on my list that I do love aside from black and green is red.
I am just as particular about my color theme as I am about everything else. My color is basic black and blood red. Why blood red? Well, as we know, blood is life. It is vital in everything. It is especially vital that it was to be shed by God's only Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross at Calvary as the only acceptable offering to God for cleansing of our sins.
Now why black? For the simple fact that it represents the darkness. The darkness within each one of us due to being separated from God. The red blood washes over that darkness in order to reconcile us with our Heavenly Father.
The Main Reason For This Site
As I stated, I do have a shop in Etsy, so, at first, my blog was meant to center around what I do on Etsy, however, this site has evolved to go beyond my store. I have a real interest in helping others in one way or another. I have several hobbies that I have been involved in and have gained knowledge from and would like to share with others.
Most of my interests center around my boys. I teach homeschool lessons to them and have been doing so for many years now and have gained a lot of experience that I can now pass on to others who are starting out.
I love music and gaming as well as sewing and crafting, but, a lot of my time has been dedicated to exploring mobile apps. I am an app addict. My interest in apps goes beyond just games. If it is helpful and beneficial to others, I want to share it. If it is something to be avoided, I want to warn about it.
Since my site covers topics quite unrelated to each other, no other name fits than "NekoKitty's Chaos", which does the opposite and ties EVERYTHING together in a neat package.
My Goal
To inform my readers of interesting apps or sites that they might benefit from as well as to grow my online presence. To bring something of value to my readers either in the form of online goods and services, or entertainment and life lessons.
