Discovery:
A few years ago, I discovered the very real possibility of actually making money through playing games from the app store. I was very wary of the whole idea and figured it would turn out to be a scam or something.
But, I decided to try it out anyway. and actually, the first gaming platform I tried out was called "AppStation". It had a little raccoon for the logo. I only tried it out for the first Paypal reward of $5.00 and to my surprise and happiness, (the happiness came only after a lot of stress about signing in to my Paypal through such apps had subsided) I actually did receive the payment straight to my Paypal and was able to spend it.
Keep in mind, that this was the very first time I decided to trust something that I had no clue about as far as how legit the app was; hence my apprehension.
Once I verified that it was a legitimate app, I went ahead and looked into Mistplay, which was where I discovered Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest.
I had never played any sort of building game before, so, had no clue as to what the purpose of the game was. It just seemed repetitive and time consuming. Build this, upgrade that, study something else, and so forth.
I will admit that I did get bored with the game and quit for a while during the time that I was trying out other games through Mistplay.
Once I found Mistplay to be a good way of earning quick cash on the side, I concentrated more on the way the bonus system worked, which led me to dedicate a lot more time to Chaos due to the fact that it was a high reward game in Mistplay. I was losing out on my points that I could have been gaining all along.
What To Expect From the Game:
After some months passed, I got back into the game and joined an alliance. From there, I wound up transferring to a new alliance where I met and befriended quite a few people. There are honestly a lot of awesome peeps in Chaos, but, there are those select few who are the most obnoxious and disagreeable players anyone could ever encounter. Side note, if not for them, the game would turn dull fast-er. During that first year, most of my gameplay was centered on networking and building trusting relationships with other players through chat.
Game chat is done in three to four separate ways:
- World Chat: everyone in a single server (region) can communicate with one another. Helpful and annoying at the same time. Helpful when making plans against another server and when your friends are in different alliances. Annoying, because you get to witness bickering, name-calling, taunts and such of other rival players; however, that too can be quite entertaining and most peeps "grab popcorn" to watch the chat fight break out. But, it can get to the point where someone might find themselves "chat banned" due to how far they push it with their taunts and such.
- Alliance Chat: a way to chat with the members of your alliance ONLY. Helpful for planning attacks against rival alliances, or just general chit chat and building up friendships or networking. But, be wary of infiltrators of rival alliances who manage to slip into your alliance.
- Private Chat: a channel for JUST you and one other person. Useful on many levels, but very limited since it is just one other person. If there are, let's say, a few people you trust completely and want to communicate special plans with, you have to have three private chats going...or, resort to a platform such as Discord...which is a topic for another day.
- Region Chat: only happens during event known as "RVR" or "region wars" where you compete against one or two other servers. Mostly used for taunts and antagonizing other players. The only good from this chat is that it allows you to chat with friends you might have made during RVR.
I had a frustrating year when I started out due to the fact that in every server, there is that one dominant alliance who decides they are the top dogs and they make or break the rules of the server when it comes to gameplay.
It usually leads to players either staying shielded for days on end or ultimately quitting altogether from the constant bullying through attacks on their low level keep by said alliance. Lower level keeps used to have a difficult time staying shielded due to the "pricing" of items in the game's store.
The only way to really advance to the point where you are not a victim of attacks is to ensure that you are either spending actual real world money for your shields, or by spending an inordinate amount of time in the game taking part in the daily events that put out high rewards.
There are many people who are actually able to stay in game through most of their waking life...and sometimes during their sleep when they get notifications, due to the fact that they work from home; or, they are unemployed which is why they are able to upgrade their keep quickly, rank high in all events, or communicate constantly in multiple chat. I was able to be one of those people because I work from home, which is the case for most others that seem to be dedicated players.
However, those higher level players who were so dedicated to the game for the past few years usually wind up becoming less active as life goes on and other interests take place.
The higher level of keep you reach, the more time consuming the game gets as far as builds, upgrades, studies, etc. There is no satisfying end to the game other than the fact that your alliance or name is constantly ranking as one of the top three in events.
Quite a few players usually wind up using the game just to chat with the friends they have made in game, which is the only real entertainment to nearly all building games such as Warhammer: Chaos.
What Qualifies Me As An "Expert" In This Topic:
I've been playing Chaos for the past three, going on four years already on a daily basis. While I am still considered a low level keep (compared to many of my acquaintances who started after me and depending on which keep I am referring to), I have been able to rank high enough in events to keep me in shields for days on end due to the game's gold known as "warpstone".
Since I have been in game for the past few years, I have managed to gain the trust of other players who may or may not be rivals of whatever alliance I happen to choose to join. Through that trust, I've acquired other game accounts that other players have chosen to abandon due to their decision to leave the game for good due to one reason or another...most times, people just become too busy due to other interests, or jobs, or life in general...which, as everyone knows and is expressed in game: "Life Comes FIRST"
Presently, I have four active accounts that I maintain. I've learned how to manage them easily through the help of a combination of apps that are available through the app stores. Unfortunately, I have no idea if some of the apps I use are found in any other app store besides Google Play, so, I can only guide or advise fellow Android users.
But, the same concept can be applied to other OS systems as long as there is what is known as a "clone" app available which will work on different devices.
STEP ONE:
The very first thing I HIGHLY suggest to anyone who is new or looking for a way to manage all of their accounts on one device is to first and foremost LINK YOUR ACCOUNT to Google, Facebook, or Steam in order to avoid future headaches associated with losing access to said accounts.
After three plus years of playing, the inevitable finally happened to me and I temporarily lost access to my very first MAIN account due to a recent update combined with a glitch in one of the clone apps I was using...not to mention the fact that I had been switching accounts to different profiles lately since I had acquired another keep and neglected to ensure that my main account was once again secured to a new FB profile.
Side note: for serious gamers, you may want to have your clones logged in to different devices as well as the one you are using the most...as a backup and for convenience in certain "tag team" circumstances. It will also come in handy if you lose access to your account in one device due to a glitch.
STEP TWO:
- Facebook, for sure, for linking your account to. You may want separate FB profiles to link other accounts, OR, you may choose to link through Steam (on computer, or laptop) or Google. If you happen to lose access to your account, you will need your game ID that is linked in Facebook under the settings tab for game apps that are linked.
- Timer app: preferably one that can keep track of separate events. A super timer app that I have been using is fully customizable and can run separate countdowns simultaneously.
- Clone App: depending on how many accounts you have, you may need at least one to two. I have listed several that I either have installed presently, or have used in the past with acceptable results. I've only come across one, Multi Parallel, that actually allows you to have at least two or more clones of the same game in one app. all of those accounts can be different ones. I would highly suggest that your MAIN account stays as your original and you use the clone app for the other alternate accounts. MOST IMPORTANTLY: SECURE YOUR ACCOUNTS BY LINKING THEM.
- Discord: Not exactly imperative, however, it does help to facilitate communication between a certain group of alliance members, or basically anyone else. Also, the cool thing about Discord is that a LOT of different groups are in Discord, so, it's great for not only checking new chat in your alliance, but also quickly navigate to other rooms of interest, say, one for cryptocurrency, or maybe another for the "State of Survival" game.

STEP THREE:
How To Regain Access To Old Or Lost Accounts:
As I have mentioned before, it is possible to lose your account either by a glitch, an update, or even if you accidently wiped the wrong keep while trying to log in.
Usually, you are never logged out of the game, so all you would have to do is to just enter the game mode and everything is loaded for you...but, that does pose a problem for those keep hoarders like me who have to access four, five or six separate accounts; hence the need for the clone apps.
I started out with just one keep, but after a while had to make another account due to family being in a different server and wanting to hook up. So began my search for a way to have both accounts on one device.
Keep in mind that the clone apps can be a bit glitchy, but, the ones I have listed are ones that I have not had too many major issues with.
Now, just in case it has happened, and you no longer have access to the keep, by no means should you feel the need to delete the app. The following are steps that can be taken to restore the account prior to contacting in game support.
- Continue with fresh new account (preferably on a separate device from the one you have been using for your other accounts) and finish the tutorial until you are able to change the name of your Keep. The reason being that you will need to do that to be able to directly contact game support and open a ticket for your issue. The other reason is that they will use that new account to merge your old account to.
- Be sure to let your alliance know of your situation. At least one person will be willing to contact game support on your behalf...especially when it comes to shields as happened to be the case when I lost my account. One of the members in my alliance happened to get a 48 hour shield applied to my keep while I got things situated with support. Which is why it is important to at least befriend maybe one or two people in whatever game you happen to be playing...preferably in your own alliance since they will be able to help you access important information for you as far as power level, location, and other details which may help the devs locate your account. It's always best to have all of the information you may need up front to facilitate the process regardless of whether or not it was necessary.
- Once you have made contact with support, they will walk you through the process, which, hopefully you have done beforehand as suggested. If not, it will just take a bit longer.
- Last of all: LINK YOUR ACCOUNT.
Special Circumstances May Arise:
Now, in my case, I had a ridiculous issue come up where even after regaining access, I could not secure my account to either Facebook or to Google Play, which could have been due to the fact that the clone app I was using for my main account was a bit glitchy.
Don't worry, I did not include the link in my list. But, it is called "Clone App - App Cloner & Parallel Space" put out by Arty Product. It used to be a decent clone app, but it was the one that I lost my account on.
I do see that there is a new update on it which I will probably go ahead and do to test it out further since it is still on my phone, however, upon seeing the latest reviews, it might be best to just go with a different cloner.
Regardless, the issue I had was that even though my account showed as being "unsecured", the two choices of being able to sign in showed "sign in to Facebook" or "sign in to Google".
Normally, those two tabs would read "Link to Facebook" or "Link to Google".
I contacted the devs again and had to restart another account on a fresh new device that did not have any clone apps at all. It still would not link.
As Sherlock Holmes stated: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Ok, I know it's not a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery, but, it can be applied to what was going on with my account.
I could not figure out why I couldn't secure my account...even after checking which accounts were linked to my separate Facebook and Google accounts.
The only answer was that it had to still be linked and that the "unsecure" warning was a false read...possibly. I am still not quite sure about how I was finally able to link the account. Honestly, I gave up trying for a few days, then yesterday, I was finally able to secure the account, which prompted me to do this article to begin with...along with the fact that I have been asked on multiple occasions as to how I can possibly keep up with all of my accounts and manage to be so very busy in real life as well.
The answer is simply this: account management...or better yet, time management.
So, aside from what I have mentioned earlier, should you run into the special glitch due to using a clone app, my suggestion is to simply sign out of your facebook accounts as well as your Google accounts (again, I happen to have a few). Try to log in one at a time and eventually, if it is still indeed linked and the prompt says "sign in..." rather than "Link to...", then you will eventually connect to the right one. Of course, you can eliminate trying the ones you KNOW are linked to the other accounts.
What I think happened in my case was that I kept thinking the "Sign in to Google" meant my Google Play, when in reality, it just meant the actual Google Account. That was the only action I took prior to checking in to my unsecured account and was FINALLY able to accomplish what I thought would ultimately be impossible since I am not a computer genius in any way.
